Camille Paycha
Noortje Sanders
Camille is born in Paris (FR) in 1992 and is now based in Oostende (BE). Camille graduated from the Academy for Circus and Performance Art in Tilburg in 2015 with the aerial straps as specialisation. Since 2015 Camille makes her own work with first the Helaba Compagnie (I ate the entire fruit salad, for the 500 years death anniversary of the painter Jheronimus Bosch). She then founded with Noortje Sanders and Thijs Veerman “The Hangman Radioshow”, a site specific performance on the
scope of radio. During that same period, Camille experiments with circus as practice by nourrishing it with visual and sound arts. Her interest in a multidisciplinary approach grows, so does her relationship and concept with co-author Noortje Sanders. For Camille and her urge of treating the performing arts in a broader sense, 2019 marks the beginning of a period full of exciting projects both as author and as performer for others (Radio Sancha, Ice skates and other cruelties, Janni van Goor).
Noortje Sanders graduated in the department of Fine Art at HKU. As a video and performance artist her work is centered around the broadcasting of time. With her rhizomatic working method she invented the Lonely Radioshow, the precursor to The Hangman Radioshow. Working in the grey area between theatre and fine art she creates multi medial series of works exploring the personal and public within ambiguous timelines. Next to that Noortje is a puppet maker. She started working as a puppet doctor at the musical the lion king little over a year ago. There she works with a wide range of puppet techniques, that she incorporates into her own work also. Apart from the lion king she has worked as an assistant puppet maker for ulrike quade company and studio figur.
Radio Sancha consists of Camille Paycha (FR/BE) and Noortje Sanders (NL).
